Georgia DUI Laws & the Risk Reduction Requirement
Under O.C.G.A. § 40-5-83, the State of Georgia requires anyone convicted of DUI — or seeking license reinstatement after a DUI suspension — to complete a state-certified 20-hour Risk Reduction Program. This law applies to all DUI offenses regardless of which county or court handles the case.
The program must be completed through a provider licensed by the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS). Dallas Hiram DUI School (RRP #10292) is fully licensed and our certificate satisfies this requirement statewide.
When the Risk Reduction class is required:
